On October 9, the Technology Centre of Miranda de Ebro (CTME) hosted a follow-up meeting between the members of the SURFERA-PLUS Network consortium. Representatives of AIN, CIDETEC, IK4-TEKNIKER, IDONIAL and CTME, the institutions that form part of this consortium, participated in the meeting, presenting the latest advances in their research and defining new actions within the framework of the Network.

During the day, significant developments in innovative technologies applicable to the functionalization of surfaces were presented, with a special focus on the improvement of materials for key industrial sectors, such as transport and energy. These solutions are designed not only to optimize the performance and efficiency of products, but also to generate a positive impact on the sustainability and competitiveness of national industries. Among the outstanding advances, progress in advanced coatings and intelligent surface treatments were highlighted, capable of responding to the growing demands of global markets.

In addition to sharing the achievements made, the partners of the SURFERA-PLUS Network took advantage of the meeting to plan the next phases of the project. These will include both new lines of research and the organization of dissemination events, with the aim of making the results known to a wide audience.

The SURFERA-PLUS Network continues to consolidate itself as a benchmark in applied research on the functionalization of surfaces, promoting strategic industrial sectors in Spain. The consortium, supported by funding from the CDTI, reaffirms its commitment to developing technological solutions that improve the competitiveness of industries, while contributing to economic and social development.
